“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it’s summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” – Great Expectations
Are you feeling like you’re ready to finish working on some of your New Years Resolutions so you can be ready for the warmer days ahead?
If so, your timing is perfect. In fact, you’ve actually set yourself up for success.
Earlier in March, we had some beautiful, sunny “spring” days here in Cheyenne.
And then winter decided to go out with a roar, with a record snowstorm that covered us in nearly 3 feet of snow.
This isn’t uncommon for this time of year. It’s characteristic of the seasonal changes that our bodies consider to be “Spring.”
Spring is that transitional time where it’s sunny and warm one day and then it snows the next. Where we feel motivated and energized for a while, and then we feel like hibernating again…lol.
A perfect picture of this is the daffodils pushing their way up through the snow.
That’s a little like how we are right now. We’re pushing our way up through all the “snow” of this past season.
This is the time of year when our energy is ready for new beginnings. For expansion, growth, healing, blossoming.
This is why in holistic medicine, early spring is seen as the best time of year for new resolutions and change.
Our bodies are most receptive to shedding what weighs us down this time of year – toxins, weight, stored emotions – so we can go into warmer weather a little lighter, with some “Spring” in our step.
Ideally, we would have rested this past winter and allowed the cold months to be slow and restorative.
Because we need our energy to be optimal in order to do this healing work of Spring, especially the energy of the Liver.
Spring is the season for the Liver. And the Liver, which has over 500 functions, is one of the most important organs in the body.
Chinese Medicine recognizes the Liver’s role in many aspects of our health – pain and stiffness, hormone imbalances, headaches, high blood pressure, digestive issues, seasonal allergies, and much more.
Even our emotional well-being is influenced by the Liver. The Liver helps things flow smoothly so we can just go with the flow.
But when the Liver’s out of balance, we can feel angry, irritable, frustrated, stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, and stuck.
This past winter was a challenging season for many of us, and we may not be coming out of it feeling rested and replenished.
So it’s beneficial to nurture and support our body well so it can do the healing work it needs to do this time of year. Reflexology, herbs, and nutrition can help.
Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle, relaxing therapy done to bring stress relief and promote the body’s natural healing responses by applying specific reflexology pressure techniques to the hands and feet.
Hundreds of studies done on the benefits of reflexology have concluded it to be helpful for stress relief, post-surgical recovery, allergies, pain, arthritis, fatigue, asthma, insomnia, diabetes, women’s health and hormones, thyroid, weight loss, constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel, blood pressure, the side effects of chemotherapy, anxiety, depression, and much more.

Wellness Program

When we work together in a Wellness Program, we start with a holistic assessment. Because your needs are unique. I look for your patterns and root causes, both physical and emotional.
And then I can match you with the right herbs, nutritional supplement, diet, and lifestyle that will support balance, health, and well-being for you.
Then we meet weekly for half hour coaching sessions to keep you moving forward.
You get access to the online Holistic Wellness Program I’ve created for my clients and regular emails with more educational materials and encouragement.
I work with people remotely and long distance, too.
And I offer free 30 minute Discovery Sessions where we can meet either in my office or over the phone to talk about how Reflexology or a Wellness Program can help you.
Curious about the results others have had? You can read client testimonials and learn more or schedule an appointment if you’d like on my home page.

This past year has brought its share of difficulties and stress for all of us.
But this time of year is the time for optimism and change.
For growth and blossoming.
For better energy and vitality.
So we can go into the warm, sunny months ahead with a better sense of well-being.
And you are so worthy of feeling vibrant and living your absolute best life.
Blessings and so much love,
Tracey xo
